Community Games Activities

Phase 1 Activities

Phase 1 competitions in the Community Games will commence in January 2011.

Phase 1 team activities are as follows:-

Badminton  - Mixed u13 and Mixed u15

Table Tennis  - Boys u13, Girls u13, Boys u16 and Girls u16

Basketball -  Mixed u11, Boys u13, Girls u13, Boys u16 and Girls u16

Choir  - Mixed u13 and Mixed u16

Chess  - Mixed u12 and Mixed u16

Indoor Soccer  - Girls u13, Boys u13, Boys u15 and Girls u15

Draughts -  Mixed u10, Mixed u12 and Mixed u14

Handball -  Boys u13 and Girls u13

 

Phase 2 Activities

Phase 2 activities will kick off in February/March 2011 .  Team activities are as follows:-

Gaelic Football - Mixed u12 and Girls u12

Olympic Handball - Boys u14 and Girls u14

Soccer - Boys u12, Girls u12, Girls u15

Volleyball - Boys u16 and Girls u16

Futsal - Boys u13 and Girls u13

Skittles - Girls u12 and Mixed u14

Tag Rugby - Mixed u11, u14 and u16

Variety - Mixed u16

 

Phase 3 Activities

Phase 3 activities will kick off in March/April 2011.   Team activities are as follows:-

Rugby - Mixed u11

Tennis - Mixed u13 and Mixed u16

Hurling - Boys u11

Rounders - Boys 13 and u15 Girls u13 and u15

Pitch n’Putt - Girls u16,Boys u16

 

To register your interest in any activity please contact a committee member and/or check updates for details of training/trials.

 

Age Guidelines

u16 competitors must be born on or after 1st August 1995

u15 competitors must be born on or after 1st August 1996

u14 competitors must be born on or after 1st August 1997

u13 competitors must be born on or after 1st August 1998

u12 competitors must be born on or after 1st August 1999

u11 competitors born on or after 1st August 2000

u10competitors born on or after 1st August 2001

u8 Competitors born on or after 1st August 2003

In some events competitors must also be over a certain age e.g. athletics relays, marathon, gymnastic team event, gaelic, hurling, indoor soccer, outdoor soccer and rugby

 

Male and Female adult volunteers are needed to help with supervising training sessions. If you are able to spare an hour a week to help out in any way then please contact Keith Murphy : 086 107 4327
