“High Chieftain of Aghaloo “ project.

The “High Chieftain of Aghaloo” is a fund raising project by Aghaloo & Blackwater Community Association for the development of a Community Hall in Aghaloo and the Blackwater valley. The voluntary community group were founded in 2007. The Chieftain contest was launched recently in Quinns Corner and we carried a report of that great night. On Saturday, March 12th one of the Chietains, Mickey Muldoon, and his band of warriors descended on St. Mellans Function Room and provided a fantastic night of entertainment. There were excellent singers, very tasty food, and a night of hilarity for the staunch minded and light hearted. Mrs Brown and Her Boys were introduced to the people of north Monaghan and Aughnacloy and beyond, as they were there from all over, and the cast caused continous laughter for almost an hour. This act will have to be seen again. Well done to all involved and if this competition is going to provide entertainment like this to raise funds then the public will be getting great value for money.
