Taste of Monaghan Festival.
The Opening Night of this great festival took place in the Four Seasons Hotel on Wednesday Oct 6th. World famous Chef, Neven Maguire, gave a Cookery demonstration to almost 600 people and everyone enjoyed the night. There were plenty of prizes to be won and good food to taste. Members of the Monaghan Farmers Market, Mallons Foods and Emyvale’s Silverhill Foods with others displayed their produce at exhibitions and Trade Stands and people browsed around those before and at the break in the Cookery Demonstrations. This was a great show of local produce and food produced from local supplies and the message was clear - use local produce, eat local produce and only buy what is genuine local produce and we can help this area to get over this recession faster.
