Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

For the first time in many years St. Macartans College decided to produce the annual Musical using in-house talent for the production team and this has worked very well as I witnessed when I attended the opening night of their presentation of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. This is a very pleasant show with good music and good singing. The costumes are very authentic looking and the sets are a major plus for this production. The sets with excellent lighting effects and clear sound help to transport you into the land of Joseph and the cast certainly act out their parts with good stage presence and delivery. Of course behind the scenes is an army of helpers from parking assistants to ushers and backstage crew. All this was coordinated by members of staff with producers - Sarah O’Hara, Catherine Mulhern and Nelius Flynn.  Mr. Mallon, Ms Smyth, Ms McAree, Ms Brady, Ms Duffy, Ms Gallagher, Ms Carroll, Mr. Trainor, Ms McColgan, Ms O’Hagan, Mr McArdle, Mr O’Brien, Mr McCabe and Mr Reilly were all credited in the programme for their involvement. Well done to all. It will be on stage again Thursday, Nov 11 and Friday, Nov 12th starting at 8pm. Check the school office ay 047-81642 for availability of tickets.
