Truagh Sports day Presentations.
On a beautiful August at St Mellans a Parsih Sports day was held initiated by Truagh
GFC and in conjunction with representatives of the three primary schools and Truagh
Special Needs a terrific programme of events was run off and money raised for the
schools and Special needs. You can see a pictorial review of the Sports Day HERE
but on Friday night Sept 17th the money was handed over to the recipients. Each group
was presented with €2,000, which was a great boost to their funds. The night was
compered by Raymond Treanor, Chairman of the GFC and Ciaran Treanor, chairman of
the Organising committee. We have a recording of some of what they had to say at
the presentations and you should be able to hear it by clicking on their photos below.
Anyhow I hope you enjoy the photos.
Presentations were also made to members of the
Special Needs Group who won Gold medals recently and to World Line-dancing champion
Emma McClenaghan.
