Unlimited Road Bowls.

The All-Ireland Unlimited Road Bowls were held in Madden County Armagh on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of last week. Teams from Cork, Bantry, Westport, Mayo, Cavan, Monaghan, Clones, and Errigal Truagh took part with a total of 130 participants. Even though there was some rain it did not dampen the spirits or hinder the enjoyment these athletes derived from the event and the joy and pleasure and excitement was wonderful to behold. Awards were presented at a special function in Madden Community Centre on Thursday night and we have some photos of the presentations and people present. I’m sure you will recognise many of those there. Errigal Truagh Special Needs group excelled and went home with awards and we hope to get a full report from there in the near future. However to hear more of what it was all about you can click on some of the individual photos below to hear a recording as they explain what happened and how it came about and who was responsible. Well done to the organisers, to Madden Road Bowls club and to all who were involved. It was a terrific success.
