The final of the U14 D1 was played in Blackhill between Scotstown and Donaghmoyne on Tuesday June 18th at 7.30pm. This was a great game of football with both teams giving 100% to win the Cup. It was a wicked cold evening for spectators but for the players it was go all the time. In th opening 10 to 15 minutes it seemed that Scotstown was adding to their score but Donaghmoyne settled in and took control. They continued to control things but once again Scotstown was began to make inroads but in the end it was Donaghmoyne’s evening and Majella Boyd presented the Cup to their captain Noah Hughes. Both teams can hold their heads high as they displayed great enthusiasm for the game. Well done to the players and their mentors. tp Referee and helpers and to Blackhill club for a great pitch and friendly welcome.
