U15 Division 2 Final Truagh V Cremartin. One of the best games, if not THE BEST games of Gaelic football I have attended this year was the U15 Div 2 final between Truagh and Cremartin played in Oram on Thursday July 25th 2019. This was a top class game where every player gave of his all and the play rushed from one goalmouth to the other. At the end of normal time and with an injury time score the sides ended all square and so extra time followed. With the sultry conditions energy was being sapped and legs were tiring but still the players continued to give it everything. The spectators on the sidelines were all behind their teams and the atmosphere was tense and exciting. As the second half of extra time moved towards the final whistle it was still anyone’s game and a replay would have been a fair outcome but in the dying seconds Cremartin earned the vital score to give them vistory. It was a tough defeat to take and it would be unfair to single out any players for special mention but I will say well done to referee, David Sheehy ,for a job well done as he allowed this fast moving game to flow and made good calls. Well done players and your mentors for a brilliant evening of entertainment and a fantastic example of what the game should be.
