Taste of Monaghan 2017 Launched.

'Its bigger and its better' seemed to be the message from all the speakers at the launch of the 2017 Taste of Monaghan festival which begins on Friday 29th September and ends on Sunday October 1st. Local together with a line up of well-known celebrity chefs will present cookery demonstrations; there will be food tasting, wine tasting, Gin tasting, chocolate tasting and many other food items to be tasted as well; there will be exhibitions from suppliers and distributors; there will be family fun and childrens' corner; there will be something for everyone; and all are invited to attend and discover for themselves just how lucky we are in Monaghan to have such good restaurants and top quality food. The Launch was carried out by Minister Heather Humphreys and speakers included Paudge Connolly, Mayor of Monaghan Municipal District, and Shane Raftery, representing Fáilte Ireland. The formalities were conducted by Chairman of the organising committee, Alan Johnston. Some local restaurants provided food for all and this was a good taste of what is to come. Representatives of some of the sponsors were also present and indeed it was clearly pointed out that without the generous support of these sponsors this type of event could not be held. To hear more on this and also about Entente Florale listen to what Paudge has to say by clicking his photo below.
