Glaslough Community Pilgrimage Walk.To celebrate the feast of St. Patrick, St. Salvator’s community organised a St Patrick’s Day Community Pilgrimage Walk. A big number turned out and the weather was kind. The Walk began at St. Slavator’s Church where Rev. Tim Irvine led the gathering in appropriate prayer and hymn. The group then headed off going to the Community Centre and from there to the Station Crossing where they went up the road leading to the entrance to Donagh Old Graveyard. It was then across through Tullycallick to arrive at the Presbyterian Church at Glennan where a further Prayer service was conducted. Then all headed back towards Glaslough but called to St. Mary’s Church, Glennan, where Fr. Hubert Martin prayed and blessed all. The Hall in Glaslough was the next and final destination where very tasty and welcome soup and cake was served. It was a wonderful occasion and enjoyed by all participants. Donations were accepted by the organisers and the money will be going to the Bishop’s Appeal Syria and Turkey Earthquake Relief Fund. Well done to the organisers, to all who contributed to the success of the event and to all who participated.
