McGee Tea Party: On Sunday, May 28th 2023 Peadar and Una McGee decided on a novel way of celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary, which falls on June 12th. They invited people to come to their home and have tea/coffee and a variety of baked goods and in return make a contribution to a fund which is raising money for the restoration of Ballyoisin Church. The weather was beautiful and ideal for sitting outside savouring the confectionary delights on offer. Of course it was also an occasion to meet with friends and others who had not met in ages. The chatting was going on and could last much longer. All guests were treated like royalty and enjoyed a lovely occasion, a type which could become a regular. We took some photos while there and that was, in a sense, renewing a previous occasion when I took their wedding photos those 30 years ago. We congratulate Peadar and Una and wish them and their family health and happiness in the years to come.
