Knockconan NS Race Night:  Knockconan National School ran a Racenight on Saturday 16th February 2019 in St. Mellans GAA Club, Truagh, to raise essential funds for upgrades to the school.  This is a developing school with pupil numbers steadily on the rise over the last number of years.  This is fantastic for the school but it has put pressure on school resources, hence the need to fundraise.  A big crowd turned out to enjoy the sport generated by the various races and who was selecting the winners and all egged on by the ramblings of Martin. There was also a fantastic prize draw on the night and food was plentiful and tasty. There were a number of items up for auction and again Martin was in top form to squeese another euro out of the bidders. All in all it was a good night of entertainment and great support from the community and especially from the business community should make it a successful venture.
