Helen Steele and the Jolly Joggers: The name of Helen Steele is a well-known name at home and abroad as the creator of exceptional art in many forms and her unique masterpieces hang on many illustrious walls. Her artistic talents are admired and sought after by royalty and celebrity and her most recent innovation, using those artistic talents, is taking Ireland by storm. She has combined her aptitude as artist, fashion designer and print maker to create bespoke patterns, and in collaboration with Dunnes Stores, they have produced, a first-of-its kind, an everyday designer collection which is disappearing from the shop rails with exceptional speed. They can be purchased on-line at www.dunnesstores.com and in some other outlets mainly to be found in Dublin. However because of her connection with Emyvale and Monaghan it was decided that her range of fashion would be available in the Monaghan Dunnes Stores for a limited time. Running, jogging and walking is a major activity in many places and County Monaghan is up there at the top with the numbers involved. Helen’s outfits will ensure beautiful, comfortable and stylish ensembles for the ladies as they exercise and there is a size to fit all types. This has brought another spotlight on Monaghan as a very entrepreneurial county and it is wonderful to have such talent among us. We wish Helen huge success with her venture and we are confident that the name of Helen Steele and her fashion will travel to many corners of the world. Helen, conscious of the local ladies in the Jolly Joggers, donated an item from the collection to two ladies and after the names were drawn from a hat the winners were Kate McAree and Angela McQuaid. Helen personally presented the gifts to the girls on Tuesday evening, January 15th and Geraldine McAree presented a Bouquet of Flowers and a Thank You card to Helen for the generous gifts. All the girls were very impressed and praised the look and quality of the various items in the collection. Dunnes Stores in Monaghan will need to get further supplies in as there is sure to be a big demand.
