The GOAL Mile, proudly supported by AIB, is held throughout December in villages, towns and cities across Ireland and
virtually throughout the world. The event sees tens of thousands of people run or walk a mile to raise funds for GOAL.
One of Ireland’s most popular annual events, the GOAL Mile is a Christmas tradition for thousands of families. Events are run by
dividuals and community organisers nationwide. Today, GOAL is active in 14 different countries, helping people whose lives and
livelihoods have been shattered by conflict, disease and climate change. The annual Monaghan Goal Mile has an excellent
organising group and this event draws hundreds to the Grounds at Beech Hill College every year. This year has seen another great
turnout of people of all ages supporting the event in grand weather conditions. Well done to all involved.
