Fr. Kevin’ Ordination: It has been decades since the last Donagh citizen was ordained to the priesthood and so the ordination and First Mass of Fr. Kevin Connolly was extra special, made even more so because it was the first ordination performed by Clogher’s new Bishop, The Most Reverend Larry Duffy. The Ordination took place in St. Macartan’s Cathrdral on Sunday June 30th and the First Mass was in St. Mary’s Church, Glennan on Monday, July 1st. Both occasions saw great turn-outs of people and fellow priests and both occasions were very spiritual and devout. Fr. Hubert had ensured that St. Mary’s was in tip top shape with not a speck of dust to be found anywhere and the ceremony was a wonderful occasion, added to both days by the choirs and musical contribution. .Congratulations to Fr. Kevin and to his family and I’m sure he needed a very good rest after the weeks of preparation and the stress of being the centre of attraction with everyone watching every move he made. We wish him a long, happy, successful and healthy life as God’s apostle among us and among whatever congregation he is appointed to. First Mass …. HERE
