Fittest Company Presentation: On Monday, July 8th the proceeds of the Monaghan Fittest Company competition, coming to a total of €10,070.00 was handed over to Truagh Special Needs. The cheque was presented to the recipients by the organisers - namely Silver Hill Farm and Glaslough Harriers. Representing Silver Hill Farm was Michael Briody, Greg Devlin and Joanne McGrath and Conor. Glaslough Harriers was represented by Brian Finn, Peter McKenna and Eamon Hackett. Accepting the funding on behalf of Truagh Special Needs were Michael Flood, Bernie McKenna and Ann Treanor. Michael Flood thanked the organisers for their generosity and congratulated them on a very successful event. He wished them continued success in the future. He explained how the money would be spent in developing the services and the benefits it would bring to the service users. In reply Michael Briody thanked all the participants and all who helped in running the event, especially Glaslough Harriers. He congratulated the Truagh Special Needs on providing such an impressive and benficial Centre for those who require the services available there.
