Edenmore National School pupils, their parents and family members, the grandparents, friends and the staff gathered in St. Patrick’s Church, Corracrin, on Thursday evening December 20th 2018 for the school’s Christmas performances. It was a marvellous spectacle to see all the pupils gathered in the Sanctuary and all ready willing and very able to carry out the tasks for which they had been selected. They raised the roof with their volume and showed great confidence when the spotlight was on them as individual performers. It would be impossible to pick out the top performer as all did their parts so professionally and all were a credit to their school and their parents but great praise must also go to Barry Cuddy and staff and all involved in the preparation work required for such a major event. It will be a night for all to remember with pride.
The Edenmore had a fundraising event in the school and the funds raised were presented to the St. Vincent de Paul society and it was accepted by Siobhan O’Brien, who is a member of the Society Donagh Branch. Siobhan told how the money would be spent and the necessity to have the funds to help people in need especially at this time of year and she thanked the Staff and pupils for their generous work.
