A very successful Fashion Show was organised in aid of Edenbeag Childcare Facility in the Four Seasons Hotel, Monaghan, on Wednesday, March 27th 2019. A packed house enjoyed a sparkling and colourful fashion show from the House of Labels and Inka. Opening the show Chairperson of the Board, Sharon Keenan, congratulated the organisers and in particular the Early Years Manager, Sabrina McKenna for the great work they had done in organising the event. The Host for the show was the well-known blogger and stylist, Rebecca Rose, and she introduced the various parts of the programme. It began with a display of the range of wear from the House of Labels and these were modelled by professional models, who did a fantastic job and did justice to the items they were modelling. However I did miss the local models who always attract plenty of attention but then everyone was to give their attention to the clothes rather than the wearers. After this there was a presentation by Ellen McMeel on the work of Cavan/Monaghan Healthy Families and Parenting Monaghan. This was very interesting. There was a Break then during which tickets for the raffle were sold and everyone had an opportunity to visit the various Stalls and Displays which were set up in the function Room. ,Then there was a very interesting presentation from Dr. Aideen Brides on anti wrinkle treatment and lip filler and a video showing how its done. She runs the Monaghan Aesthetic Clinic and is qualified in these procedures. I have no comment. The second half was further Fashion displays from the same models but the clothes were from Inka. Again a great variety and all very colourful and attractive. At the end Sabrina thanked everyone for their support, from sponsors to those who purchased tickets and to all those who worked very hard to make it a success and she was able to announce that from the quick count she believed that the total amount raised would cross the €10,000 mark, which was tremendous and a credit to all involved. The Raffle took place and a long list of prizes was presented to the various winners. A great night for all.
