Deravoy National School Christmas Concert 2018. You might wnder if the school is putting on a post Christmas Concert but let me quick to explain that it is all my fault as I thought I had published the Concert which was staged to a packed Hall in Carrickroe Commnity Centre on Wednesday Dcemeber 19th last but with my excitement of Santa coming my mind was not concentrating properly and for that I apologise to the children of Deravoy ns for disappointing them. So here it is on February 1st and I hope you enjoy the images I took but it was only part of the excellent display by the children. Their costumes were terrific, their singing superb, their music was melodic, the delivery of lines clear and vibrant and the smiles on their faces told us that they were enjoying it as much as we were. Few nerves were showing and delight on the faces of those who picked out their parents, siblings or grandparents in the audience. What a boost to the confidence of those children and an event they will remember for a lifetime. I’m not sure who all was behind the preparations for this concert but Principal, teachers, assistants, parents and many others were involved including Mr McMahon, the music man and to all of them - well done and to the children - congratulations.
