Arch Club Entertained in Fire Station

On Thursday last, June 7th. the Arch Club paid their annual visit to Monaghan Fire Station where they were treated royally and had great fun. This is a night that the members of the club look forward to with excitement each year and it turns out like all their other parties - fun, laughter, food and singing, music and dancing, and spreading the love - and the Fire Brigade offers excitement with the water hose, the flashing lights and the sirens. Well done to the members of the Brigade who gave of their time to make it a memorable night for the Arch Club members and to Gerry McMahon for providing the music and Colin Walker for the train rides. The sausages and chips went down a treat and the Ice Cream van was very popular too as dessert was an Ice-cream cone and the members were in fine voice as the Choir entertained with a few songs. Hugh thanked those who had to be thanked and then it was down to the serious business - the dancing. Yes - another successful night and a very enjoyable one and well done to those responsible for the organisation and putting the whole thing together.
