Truagh had two teams in action in Saturday, Feb 11th and both were home games with
one in football and the other in hurling. The Hurling came first and the opposition
was Sean Treacy’s, Lurgan. This was a tough game and great determination from players
and a game which could have gone either way. Truagh were unlucky not to have a greater
score line but Lurgan made better use of their attacks. In the end the Lurgan side
had victory with a score line of 1 -11 to 1 - 5.
Again in the Quinn's Corner Ulster
Club Senior Football League Group A game between Truagh and Bellaghy there was little
in it and it was a matter of a goal that won the day forTruagh on 2 - 10 against
Bellaghy’s 1 - 10. There were a number of impressive performances from young players
on the Truagh side and this was a good opportunity for them to get game practice
prior to the Monaghan leagues. They now meet Slaughneil in Round 3 and that will
be another strong test for them.
Below we have some shots from both games.
