Celebrations for Truagh Juveniles.

On Friday, January 13th Truagh Juvenile players in boys and girls football and hurling were honoured for their achievements during the 2011 season. The club was delighted to have Kerry GAA star and Fashion celebrity, Paul Galvin, to make the various presentations and he had a very busy night as there was such an array of prizes to be presented and he was in great demand too for photos and autographs. Paddy Flood was Master of Ceremonies and he did an excellent job of steering the proceedings through a very full programme of awards in record time. There was a break during the programme during which a very tasty supper was served. The teams presented with awards were as follows: Nursery 4, 5 and 6 Year Old Boys and Girls; U8s Boys and Girls; U10 Boys Shield Final winners in the Fermanagh Blitz; U14 Girls winners; U11s Boys from the BC Tournament in Emyvale; U12s Boys B team; U13s Boys Hurlers; U14 Boys Div 2 Shield winners; U12s Hurlers; U16 Boys Hurlers Div 1 winners; U12s Girls; U16s Boys Div 1 Runners-up; and the Coyle Cup winning team at U12 Boys in Division 1. There was also an award for the Go Games Referees of James Deery, Aaron Treanor, Fergal Rafferty, Ciaran Rafferty, Darren Sherlock and Matthew Flood. Megan McQuaid, Hannah Kelly, Roisin Coyle, and Amy McKenna were presented with awards as Most Improved Players in their various age groups. The the Juvenile committee represented by Ryan Mohan presented Raymond Treanor and the Truagh Club with a signed Jersey of the winning Coyle Cup team. Raymond made a presentation of a Truagh jersey to the a special Guest, Paul Galvin, who then thanked the club for the invite and said that he was extremely impressed by the fantastic spirit of the club and the very active juvenile section. He encouraged all the players to continue to play GAA games and to keep two aims in Mind – Medals and memories.

Well done to all involved with the juveniles and with the organising of the Presentation Night and thanks to Paul for his cooperation.
Below is my photographic record of the night.
