Taste of Monaghan 2011

The Taste of Monaghan festival from Oct 6th to 9th was another successful event and brought big numbers into the town. The Cookery demonstrations were big attractions and I think Monaghan fell in love with Donal Skehan - this young lively and smiling personality who cooks. I attended the demonstration he gave to the Transition Year students from the five Second level schools in the town and I was very impressed with his ability to make cooking look like fun and to hold the attention of his audience with such a relaxed manner. Well done to the organisers of the Festival and we hope that it has helped the sales of those who participated and has helped to make dining in Monaghan an attractive night/day out.
