Honda Step-tru Run for Emy Lake.
On Sunday, June 7th, Donagh development Association hosted a Honda Run to raise funds for the Emy Lake Walkway project. It was very successful with over 100 riders taking part. Assembly was at the Red Boys and the cavalcade headed up the village, down the Cassey, through Kilnagear, Killyraine, Knocknasave, Glennan, Donaghroe and into Glaslough for a short break.
Off on the road again to Pipers Bridge, and back to Emyvale using the back roads through Billis, Corracrin and Cornacrieve. There was a loger break at the Red Boys for tea and biscuits.
The second leg took the group out over Kurkin, Dundian, Bragan and on to Knockatallon for a stop at Sliabh Beagh Hotel.
It was then back through Scotstown and Tydavnet and ended at the Red Boys, where there was plenty to eat and plenty to talk about.
Prior to the run, the DDA sold tickets for a Honda 90 and that draw was held in the Red Boys and the winner was Gerard McKenna from Derryhee.
It was a great day, with very favourable weather and a fun atmosphere and will assist the DDA in their efforts to get the walkway completed. Thanks to everyone who assisted before, during and after the event.
