EMYVALE
The Late Maggie Kelly, R.I.P.

It is with deep regret that we record the death of Margaret (Maggie) Kelly, Drumbanagher, Glaslough. Maggie passed to her eternal reward at 5pm on Easter Sunday, April 12th 2009.
During the past week Maggie was going about her daily routine as usual. She attended Benburb and was a Eucharistic Minister there. On Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday she attended the Holy Week ceremonies in St. Mary’s, Glennan, and it was while preparing to go to Easter Sunday 10am Mass in St. Marys’ that illness struck. Using her ‘Emergency Button’ she summoned her daughter, Bernadette, who called an ambulance and the other family members.
By the time Maggie reached Monaghan General Hospital she was unconscious, but had spoken to the family prior to leaving home. She did know that she was seriously ill. The doctors in Monaghan required a CT Scan to ascertain the nature of her problem but she was not strong enough to travel to Cavan Hospital, and so it was decided to keep her in Monaghan. Her condition deteriorated gradually through the day and she passed away peacefully at around 5pm.
Her remains were bought to her home and a constant stream of callers came to the house to sympathise with the family. She was brought to St. Mary’s on Monday evening and Requiem Mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 11 am.with chief celebrant Fr. Deery.
Maggie was 88 years of age and was loved by all who knew her. She had a wonderful faith and her Mass took precedence over all other things. Her concern was always for others before herself. She was predeceased by her husband, Tommy, and her daughter Peggy (Morgan).
We offer our deepest sympathies to her son, Eamonn; to her daughters, Marie (Colleran) and Bernadette; to her sons-in-law, Paudge Colleran and John Morgan; to her daughter-in-law, Marie Coyle; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to her many relatives, friends and neighbours.
