Truagh Special Needs Senior Citizens Party.
Truagh Special Needs group held their Christmas Party in the Blackwater Centre on Fri Dec 11th. Together with senior citizens and family members the service users had a great night. It was also attended by members of Truagh Macra, who presented a cheque to the group: boys from the winning Truagh Minor team and the girls representing the Ladies Intermediate team who earned promotion to senior ranks. Starting off with a meal and followed by the draw for the raffle the night was only beginning. Paddy Flood, MC for the occasion, highlighted the work being done by Truagh Special Needs and complimented all the workers and organisers for their commitment and dedication. He also thanked all who support the Group and without whom many would be without essential and beneficial services in the community. He also thanked all who had sponsored prizes for the huge Raffle, which was very successful. John Loughran then entertained and supplied the music for the dancing, during which Santa paid a visit.
