CombiLift Launches New Products.

At a function at their HQ premises last week CombiLift Ltd. Launched two new products in front of about 125 editors and journalists from over 30 countries worldwide. This company was esptablished by Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett in 1998 and since then has re-invested finance in Research and Development which enables it to be the leading expert and producer of handling solutions for all types of industries and companies. It is now recognised as a global brand with over 11,000 CombiLifts in operation in more than 50 countries in the world. This has been a great success story and one that is set to comtinue as the company hopes to have a turn-over of over €80 million in 2010.

The latest additions to the Combilift range are the largest ever produced by the company. One is a 4-way forklift but with a 25 tonne capacity and it came in for great excitement among the journalists and dealers. The second model introduced is a Straddle Carrier which is for use in the container handling sector and again it raised eyebrows when it drove into the viewing area at the launch. It is described as a cost-effective and flexible container handling solution for the distribution, shipping and haulage industry and is much more economical than any existing method of moving containers or other oversized products around a site.

We are delighted to show this on our site as Martin is from North Monaghan and both he and Robert have provided excellent employment opportunities for the people of the area and have had a major influence on the economic life of the region. For that we thank them and we wish them further success and development in the years ahead.
