Pictured on the right are: Peter McKenna, Brendan Sherlock, Tony Anscombe, Sean McKenna, Dermot Kerr and Paul McGeown. Tony and Sean from Derrynoose GAC were explaining their forthcoming venture to the Monaghan Athletes and organisers and Dermot Kerr from Armagh was showing support.

Derrynoose GAC are organising a World Record Attempt for a 12 hour 100 Metre Relay Race on Saturday June 12th 2010 in Derrynoose. They are looking for 2,500 athletes to participate and help to achieve the World Record. People of all ages over 10 yrs can take part and it should be a spectacle as well as raising money for the Derrynoose Club and MS. Our own Jolly Joggers were there and took part. Some put up personal bests but all finished with good times. All except Geraldine who suffered an injury which compelled her to limp home. We wish her a very speedy recovery and we hope she is back in action real soon.
