Dawn in Bragan.

Some years ago when Fr. Cathal Deery came to Donagh parish he invited people to join him for prayers on the top of Bragan Mountain at dawn on Easter Sunday morning. Numbers grew over the years since then and many looked forward to the event as one that was very spiritual and uplifting. It has always been pretty cold up theree at that time of the morning and that time of the year but 2010 was extraordinary in that the cold weather has been with us for months now and we even had snow during Holy Week. As a result it was decided that the Dawn Meeting would go ahead depending on the weather. The snow was still on the ground in Bragan on Saturday and it was decided to cancel the event. However some did not hear of the cancellation and a small band arrived nonetheless. Gregory Murphy was among them and he has sent us these photos of a lovely morning at Dawn in Bragan.
