Sponsored Cycle.

Ten local cyclists will be carrying out a Marathon Cycle from Mizen Head in Cork to Malin Head in Donegal during the Summer and it is all to raise funds for Arthritis Ireland. Arthritis is a condition which is being suffered by a huge number of people in Ireland and research is badly needed to find a cure, methods of prevention and pain management for the condition.

This sponsored cycle is 400 mile in length and they will complete it in 3 days. The group hopes to raise over €3,000 for Arthritis Ireland and a big Raffle will be held soon with fabulous prizes and it is hoped that it will get a great response form the generous public. Paul Cassidy, Barry Cassidy and Gerard Hughes were first to suggest the challenge but others have come on board and prizes have been sponsored for the Raffle. Universal Graphics is a main sponsor and will be providing for the support team on the road and the transport arrangements. The cyclists have already begun a specific training schedule for the event and are confident that they will be able to complete the run on time.
