Donagh Basketball Club.

Donagh Basketball Club was formed just about one year ago and already they have become a major force in Ulster Basketball. They entered four teams in the Ulster Leagues and Championships and they have come away this season with three Ulster Titles so far with the possibility of a fourth in three weeks time. The U13 and U14 Girls won both the League and Championship in their respective sections and the U16 Boys won the League and are in the Championship final against Andersontown Belfast. There was an awards evening in the Emyvale Leisure Centre on Sunday March 20th at 6pm. Trophies were presented to the winning teams and awards to the Most Advantageous Player and the Most Improved Player in each age group. We would like to congratulate all the young players who have brought great honour to the area and we also pay tribute to the team of mentors, led by Enda O’Brien and Tom O’Connor, for their commitment and work. Thanks too to those people who sponsored the awards and attended the event on Sunday evening.
