Knockatallon Ladies Handbags Night.
The Knockatallon Ladies Group organised a Handbag Night in Sliabh Beagh Hotel where Ladies handed in their superfluous handbags and attended on the night to purchase others. The evening began with a talk on Womens’ Health by Dr. Illona Duffy, GP. The proceeds of the night were going to Solas and to Cuan Mhuire and members of these organisations were present to explain the functions of each. This Ladies Group organise various events, functions, talks, demonstrations of interest to the Ladies and have a big number of members. You might ask why Knockatallon is featured on the Emyvale site - well we do not know any boundaries and we also know that there are a number of people from that area who check in with our site on a regular basis. We are glad to give this type of ‘good work’ plenty of exposure. Well done to all concerned.
