Walking Information
It is important that you choose the walk most suited to your level of fitness and experience.
Footwear and clothing
Suitable, sturdy, comfortable footwear should be worn on all walks. Warm and Waterproof clothing is essential on longer walks. Denim jeans are not suitable.
Walk Guides
Guides will lead all walks. He/she will be identified at the beginning of each walk. Please follow your guide, not ahead of him/her. Please respect their instructions.
Countryside Code
Enjoy the countryside
Guard against all risk of fire
Keep to public paths across farmland
Use gates and stiles to cross fences, hedges and walls
Leave livestock, crops and machinery alone
Protect wildlife, plants and trees
Take your litter home.
Take care on roads

Grade 1 - Strenous 5 to 6 hours. Grade 2 - Moderate 3 to 4 hours. Grade 3 - Easy walk.
No Dogs Allowed on Any Club Walks.
Easter Egg Hunt
This years Easter egg hunt by the Knockatallon Ramblers was another great success with over 30 children taking part. It was held in Rossmore Park on Easter Monday. The club would like to thank Coillte for their assistance. All the children got Easter eggs and went home very happy. Our next outing is our annual Boots n Bogs walking festival which is on this Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th of April Registration is at 11am in the Sliabh Beagh hotel. We will have walks to suit all levels of fitness. So come along and enjoy the craic.
