Monaghan Ladies begin season with a win.

Monaghan 3 - 13 to Tyrone 1 - 5.

Monaghan’s new manager Barry McLoughlin got off to a great start with his team when they inflicted a somewhat unexpected defeat on their next door neighbours, Tyrone in Errigal Ciaran grounds on Sunday, Feb 7th. Monaghan was dominant in all quarters of the field with terrific performances from individuals. The Emyvale lassies were to the front with their efforts and Ciara McAnespie and Therese McNally stood out but great support was given by Aoife McAnespie and Nicola Fahy. We would also claim that the keeper, Edel Corrigan, daughter of Frankie from Carrigans, is partly an Emyvale lady and she too had a great game between the posts. Well done to all the girls and to Barry and his assistants and we wish them further success throughout the year.
