Monaghan Motor Club Awards 2009.

Monaghan Motor Club held its annual 2009 Award Presentation Night in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday, January 16th 2010. A big crowd of members, supporters and friends gathered and enjoyed a fantastic meal before the Presentation ceremonies began. Paul Hughes, Chairman of the Club, thanked everyone who had assisted the Club during the past year and gave a brief summary of the activity carried out over the previous 12 months. The number of people involved in the organisation and implementation of events is tremendous and it is a health sign that the club can muster such a large force of helpers when required. The Gardai, Monaghan County Council, Councillors, Marshals, local residents, the media, club members, participants, and a list of sponsors headed by the Hillgrove Hotel were among those mentioned.

Prizes were presented to Clerks of the Course for various events: Brendan Flynn, Ashley McAdoo, Enda Sherry, Dessie Keenan, Damien O’Hagan, Andrew Mackarel, and Conor Maguire, who will again be COC for the 2010 Stages Rally.
