The BC Colton Annual Football Tournament 2009.
The 5th BC Colton Memorial Tournament organised by Emyvale GFC was held on Saturday, Sept 5th. After weeks of rain and wet days this one turned out the driest day for weeks and ideal conditions for a great competition. 26 teams of U11’s from Monaghan, Armagh, Fermanagh and Tyrone battled it out for a place in the final. Excellent skills were displayed throughout and the games were highly entertaining. In the Shield final it was Eiroe Og against Kinawley with the former coming out on top after a higly entertaining game which went to extra time to decide the winner. The cup final was another tough and close encounter with neighbouring teams of Loughmacrory and Carrickmore vying for the title. In the end victory went to Loughmacrory. Congratulations to all involved - those in charge of the organising and those who participated.
