FAI in Monaghan.
The FAI decided to hold its 2009 AGM in Monaghan and during the week leading up to that the FAI Executive and former great players for this country spent the days travelling around the county, visiting all the Soccer clubs. On Tuesday evening they visited Glaslough Villa and then on Thursday afternoon they spent time with the Drumlin Youth Club. A reception was held when they arrived and they then went to the Parish Field to meet the young players who were involved in Skill Coaching. Then it was up to the Leisure Centre for a meal, provided by the Drumlin Club, which was followed by entertainment of traditional music and dance. Prior to departure the FAI announced a grant of €5,000 for the club development fund. Our photos show the visitors with various locals.
