EMYVALE
North Monaghan Social Services Christmas Party
The North Monaghan Social Services met for their Christmas Party in Emyvale Leisure Centre on Thursday, December 8th. It was a lovely afternoon in the Centre with dinner, hymns, prayers, prizes and Santa. Thanks to the caterers in St. Davnets, who cooked the main course, and to the NMSS Committee and helpers who served a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and everyone enjoyed a fantastic meal. Then Fr. Macartan McQuaid, Rev Margaret Pringle and Fr. Sean Nolan conducted an ecumenical prayer service intermingled with hymns led by Veronica Treanor and Amelia McCormack, who played the keyboards. It was then time for a few Christmas songs and the Big man himself arrived on cue and greeted all. Then there was a free draw for numerous prizes which had been donated and all departed for home having had a great afternoon.
