Donaghmoyne seems to be the bogey team for the Emyvale ladies as they met once again in the League final this year and the South county girls were victorious. The game was played at Tully and conditions were heavy underfoot though dry on the night. This was a very close game and there was nothing in it between the sides. It was a game that could have gone either way and lady luck was going to play a part in the result. It was also a tough game and a physical game which was not all that attractive and heavy charging was punished rarely yet soft touching was penalised. There were lots of stoppages and free flowing play was interrupted unnecessarily and it was the strength of the Donaghmoyne side which won out in the end even though it was by the barest of margins. It must be said that the Emyvale girls showed great commitment, determination and tenacity and for that they must be highly commended. Well done on reaching the final to team and mentors.
