Good As New

Two ladies, Bernie McBride and Liz McKenna have launched a new venture for themselves and Monaghan Town. On North Road, beside Mullin’s garage, they will open a Good As New shop on February 1st. Part of the proceeds from this shop will go to local charities. They are requesting people to dispose of their secondhand clothing (male/female/children), bedclothes, shoes, handbags, bric-a-brac of all description, books, children’s toys, small furniture etc etc through this outlet. It is an easy way to get rid of unwanted items and at the same time help local charities. It will also be a great place to browse and you could pick up great bargains or things you will not find anywhere else.
The shop was launched on Saturday, January 21st with a Tea/Coffee Day and donations given will go to Monaghan Hospice Homecare. We called and enjoyed a lovely Coffee with mouthwatering buns, scones, cake and biscuits. I did not eat all of these but they were very inviting and the chat was good too.
