Gabriel McAree’s Quiz for Mellon and Strictly.

The Red Boys was the venue for a big Quiz Night in aid of two ventures in which Gabriel McAree is involved. Last year he went with the Niall Mellon Trust and helped to build houses and he was so struck by the work that he decided hat he would have to offer his help a second time. He will be heading out to Africa later this year and we wish him success with that. He has also volunteered, after his arm reached the back of his neck, to perform in Strictly Dancing for the Truagh GFC and is hard at work practicing for the big night which will take place in October. Perhaps the dance training will put him in great shape for Africa but he has quite a substantial sum of money to raise for the two and I am confident that the public will support him. On Friday night, Sept 9th a very big crowd attended the Quiz in Red Boys and it was a great night of entertainment. Paddy Flood, as quizmaster, maintained a very easy-going and enjoyable atmosphere and kept the teams in contention till the final round. Gabriel had plenty of good prizes and the food went down a treat. Well done to all involved and we wish Gabriel all the best in his endeavours.
