Credit Union Quiz 2012

Emyvale District Credit Union Ltd held the annual Credit Union Quiz in the Corracrin School Hall on Friday, Feb 3rd 2012. The following schools participated: Edenmore, Deravoy, Knockconan, Scoil Bríd Tyholland, St Patrick’s Corracrin, and St. Mary’s Glaslough. There was a great turnout of parents and family members to support the teams. The competition was very close and only a point or two separated the winning teams. There were two sections and prizes for the top three in each section. There were individual prizes as well as prizes for the schools and every participant received a gift from the Credit Union. The winners of section A were: 1.  St. Mary’s Glaslough;  2.  Scoil Bríd Tyholland;  3.  St, Patrick’s Corracrin.  The B section results were:  1.  St. Patrick’s Corracrin;  2.   St. Mary’s Glaslough;  3.  Scoil Bríd Tyholland.
Well done to all involved and a special word for the Quizmaster, Marion Donnelly, who conducted the event very efficiently and smoothly.
