The BC (Brendan Colton) Tournament 2011

Emyvale Juvenile Club organised the annual BC Tournament on Saturday, September 24th in Tully. Nineteen teams participated in what was a fantastic day of football. After the league section semifinals for Shield and Cup were played and the two finals were outstanding games. Ballybay won the Shield by defeating Tyholland by a slender point and that was a close and well contested game. The Cup final between Emyvale and Killeeshil was a classic and everyone was on edge till the final whistle which gave the home side victory and again by a single point. Killeeshil lads were devastated as they gave everything but were pipped at the post. Both teams have excellent talent and provided the big attendance with a mighty display of sporting football. Well done to both and congratulations to Ballybay and Emyvale on their victories. Members of the Colton family were on hand to present the prizes to winners and runners-up. Also well done to the large army of workers who made the whole event run so smoothly and to club chairman, Raymond Kelly on a job well done.
