Monaghan All-Stars 2011

Congratulations to the four Monaghan ladies who were selected as All-Stars for 2011. At the big event in City West Hotel on Saturday November 12th the Ladies Awards for this year were announced and Monaghan came away with five awards as, together with the All-Stars, Ciara McDermott from Magheracloone was presented as the Ulster Young Player of the Year. Congratulations to Ciara as well.

The four All-Stars were:

Right Corner Back: Gráinne McNally, Emyvale and Monaghan.

Full Back: Sharon Courtney, Donaghmoyne and Monaghan

Right Half Forward: Therese McNally, Emyvale and Monaghan

Right Corner Forward: Ciara McAnespie, Emyvale and Monaghan.

Other Monaghan players who had been nominated as All-Stars are:

Christina Reilly; Aoife McAnespie; Cora Courtney; Amanda Casey; Catriona McConnell; Caoimhe Mohan.

Well done to all of them for bringing such great honours to Monaghan, their clubs and their families. A lot of hard dedicated and committed time, energy and pain goes in to reach this level of performance and maintain it for the playing season and we praise them for that.
