Jim Glennon, rating the Irish Rugby players in the Sunday Independent last, had the following remarks to make about Emyvale and Monaghan's Tommy Bowe:

'Came into the tournament in top form, having scored in every round of the Heineken Cup and dangerous throughout. The leading wing in the northern hemisphere, and key to Ireland's ambitions this season'. That is certainly a resounding vote of confidence for Tommy.
